COVID-19 FAQ’s

Is COVID-19 Testing Free at Clintex?

No, we are not a free testing site. We are a local commercial laboratory.

Is COVID-19 Testing FDA-Authorized?

Our test offerings for COVID-19 have been issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the U.S. FDA. When there are no FDA-approved or cleared tests available, and other criteria are met, the FDA can make tests available under an emergency access mechanism called an EUA.

When will I get my results?

We strive for patient care and we understand the circumstances we are in right now. Our goal is to deliver the results within 24-48 hours from the time of collection, compared to 7-14 days at our competitor laboratories. Register into our secure HIPAA-compliant Patient Portal to get your results.

Do I need a doctor’s prescription to get the COVID-19 test?

Yes, because we are not a free testing site. If you have insurance, your primary doctor should provide you a prescription for the test. However, if you do not have insurance and would like to pay out-of-pocket you may use our services.

Will my insurance cover for this test?

Unfortunately, we are observing that certain insurance companies are denying our COVID-19 claims. We would require payment for the services rendered and we will provide you with an itemized bill, which you can use for reimbursement purposes from your health insurance. Reimbursement for this test is at the discretion of your insurance. Clintex may be out-of-network with your current insurance company. If you have questions about whether the test is eligible for reimbursement, please get in touch with your insurance company directly.

What will itemized COVID-19 receipt contains?

Your itemized receipt will include: Date of Service, Patient Name, Name of the Service Provider, Contact Information of Service Provider, and Type of Service Rendered.

How do I pay for my COVID-19 test?

You can use credit, debit or cash for payments. We do not accept checks at this moment.
